About the Concrete Finisher Position
This is a skilled concrete-finishing position that also requires driving a company truck. You will place and finish standard flatwork and decorative concrete while helping transport crew members, materials, and equipment to local jobsites. Projects include driveways, sidewalks, patios, slabs, curbs, pads, and stamped concrete throughout Appleton, the Fox Valley, and Northeast Wisconsin.
Key Responsibilities:
Place, spread, screed, float, and trowel concrete
Produce clean, smooth, durable finishes
Edge, joint, broom, cure, and protect finished surfaces
Stamp, texture, color, and finish decorative concrete
Set, align, and strip forms to the correct line and grade
Check subgrade, base, slope, drainage, and elevation before placement
Operate power trowels, screeds, hand tools, and small equipment as qualified
Drive a company truck to transport crew members, materials, and equipment
Keep jobsites, trucks, tools, and equipment clean and organized
Follow company, DOT, OSHA, and jobsite safety requirements
Qualifications
Applicants must have professional concrete-finishing experience, a valid Class A or Class B CDL, a valid DOT medical card, and an acceptable driving record. This role requires safely driving company trucks, performing hands-on concrete work, lifting at least 50 pounds repeatedly, and working outdoors in physically demanding conditions. This is a local skilled-finishing position, not an over-the-road driving role.
A Strong Candidate Has:
Experience placing, forming, and finishing concrete flatwork
Knowledge of grade, slope, drainage, and proper curing
Experience with broom, smooth, stamped, or decorative finishes
Dependable attendance and reliable transportation
The ability to work safely as part of a crew
